Freeman B. Jackson and Co.'s Wanganui stock report (telegraphed on the 26th tp the Mail) is as follows '.- —The rough weather prevented a number of advertised stock from coming to the yards. We sold what were penned at current prices. We have enquiry for good useful wethers and shorn lambs. Cattle—At Waverley: Cows, 062 5s to 14s. At Wanganui .- Milch cows, <£4 10s to £4, 17s 6d ; yearlings, 22s ; 18-month cattle, 37s ; 3-year steers, .£3 10s. Sheep—At "Waverley : Wethers, 7s 9d to 8s 6d; lambs, 4s. At "Wanganui : Fat wethers, 9s ; stores, 7s lid ; fat ewes, 6s 6d to 7s ; others, 4s 4d to 5s lid ; 2-tooth ewes, 7s lOd. Pigs—Small baconers, 28s to 31s ; porkers, 15s to 20s ; smaller pigs, 9s to lis 6d. The following is the Nisw Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company's report of the Addington market (telegraphed on the,26th to the Mail) ; —Owing no doubt to the very rough weather we have had for the past week, entries in all classes were limited. The attendance of the trade also was small, only those who were in want of immediate supplies putting in an appearance. Fat cattle--The bidding for prime steers was fully equal to last week, but for old cows and half fats there was little enquiry. Best beef, 21s per 1001 b ; inferior to medium, 14s 6d to 17s. Store cattle —Little doing-; for the few good sorts yarded, bidding was slightly brisker. Dairy cattle —No alteration. Fat sheep The entry was composed chiefly of merinos and aged crossbred ewes, very few prime sheep being yarded. The pale taken all through was on an average of last week. Best crossbred wethers, Us 6d to 13s 9d ; medium, 9s 6d to 10s 6d ; crossbreds, mixed sexes, 8s to 12s 9d ; ewes, 7s 6d to 13s ; merino wethers, Gs 4d to 9s 9d. Store sheep—The entry consisted principally of crossbred lambs and two-tooth. The bidding was fairly animated, and rates equalled those of last week.
