ADVANCE IN WHEAT.

London, May 19. The English wheat market shows a general advance of 6d. The American and Continental markets are also advancing, with increased firmness. London, May 20. Beerbohm’s circular attributes the firmness of wheat to the belief that the year’s crop will be 15,000,000 quarters below last year’s. Chbistchubch, May 20. During the last few days the wheat market shows a marked improvement. On Saturday 10,COO bushels of mixed wheat were sold at a trifle over 3s Id f.o.b. Lyttelton, and to-day the same firm sold 21,000 bushels at prices varying from 3s to 3s l£d, f.o.b. Lyttelton. Dunedin, May 20.
