The New Zealand Cricket Annual is to be ready for publication in tho course of a week or two. London, May 17. Playing for Surrey against Warwickshire Brockwell took eight wickets for 22 runs. / 3 London, May 18. Lockwood, playing for Surrey against Warwick, scored 158. Dr W. G. Grace, for Gloucestershire against Somerset, made 288, thus registering his hundreth century. Nottinghamshire scored 776 runs against Sussex, Gunn being responsible for 219. - London, May 20. Stoddart will manage the next team of English cricketers to visit Australia in 1897. The Hampstead Cricket Club gave a banquet to- Mr Stoddart. The latter expressed the hope that the English authorities would invite an Australian eleven to visit the Old Country next year.
