The third annual sale of the Te Mahanga thoroughbred stock was held on Thursday of last week, and attracted a large number of visitors, while the bidding was very spirited, the sale realising 1339 guineas. At the Ashburton races on the 26th, Wedlock won the Ashburton Stakes, paying lis. The Grove Farm Handicap was won by Lord Zetland, who paid 10s, and the Netherby High Weight Handicap by Leda, the dividend being £2 lis. Aqualate won the Autumn Handicap, and paid <£l Bs. The Flying Handicap was won by Lord Zetland ; dividend, 15s. The Napier Telegraph says : —Rangipuhi and Tnhiwai, who were unsuccessful at the Hastings races, were taken home to-day. The son of Feve pulled up lame after the race for the Burke Memorial Stakes. Revolt and Revolution, and Boulanger and Variety have also gone home. Mr Paul's e;her horse, Pompom, however, will remain tor the Park Meeting.
