The New Zealand ■ Shipping Company's steamer Ruahine arrived in port from London via the Cape and Hobart at 4 p.m. on Monday. She left the Royal Albert Docks on February 7 at 10.50 a.m. and anchored below Gravesend on account of thick weather. The Thames was full Of ice and 26 degrees of frost were recorded. At 10 24 a.m. on the Bth she proceeded to Plymouth, and arrived there at 10.2 a.m. on the 9th, sailing at 1.55 p.m. the same day. A strong S.E. gale and high seas were experienced across the Bay of Biscay. Teneriffe was reached at 5.30 p.m. on the 14th, and after coaling the vessel left for Capetown at 3.48 a.m. on the 15th. Cape De Verde was sighted and she arrived in Table Bay at 2 a.m. on the 2nd inst., sailing at 2.23 p m. the same day. Splendid weather was experienced from the Bay of Biscay right to Hobart, which was reached on the 20th inst. at 9.30 p.m. She landed about 85 tons of cargo for Hobart and Launceston, and sailed for Wellington at 1.30 p.m. on the 21st inst., arriving as above. The Tongariro took the following cargo from this port .—479 bales wool and skins, 2 do rags, 140 packages leather -and basils, 5 sacks hair, 38 do hides, 1300 cases meat, 2102 carcases mutton, 3735 do lamb, 4614 packages butter, 2383 cases cheese, 353 casks tallow and pelts, 40 cases apples, 17 boxes bullion, 43 packages sundries; for Monte Video and Rio —11 packages sundries, 112 sacks potatoes, 150 cases apples. The dairy produce taken from the Colony was as follows : —Dunedm, 2 tons butter, 164 tons cheese ; Lyttelton, 1 ton butter, 6 tons cheese; "Wellington, 144 tons butter, 151 tons cheese ; Auckland, 1 ton butter, 4 tons cheese : total, 148 tons butter, 325 tons cheese.

Dunedin, March 25. The Aorangi, from London, arrived at the Heads this morning, and steamed into port in the afternoon. Being an extra steamer, she brings no passengers. She is still under the charge of Captain Sutcliffe. The Aorangi left London on February 2nd. Ice was sighted in lat. 45deg. 27min S., long. 54deg 20min S.
