MARTINBOROUGH.
. Martinbobough, March 23. At last we have had the welcome rain. Everything has been parched up, and potato crops that were expected to yeild 20 tons are only giving about three tons. A large quantity of sheep are waiting for grass to grow to find purchasers. Deer stalkers are again on the move, getting ready for the opening of the season. As the season is short this year they mean to be in time for the first shot. There is a rumour that Lord Glasgow is coming this way for some deer-stalking at Te Awaiti. I hear deers are very plentiful there.
