Acceptances for all events close the same night at 9 o’clock. RULES AND REGULATIONS. All nominations, entries, acceptances, &c., accompanied by the necessary amount payable, close at the Club Hotel, Wellington, not later than 9 p.m. (unless stated to. the contrary) on the advertised dates of closing. The Rules of Racing, as adopted by the Metropolitan Clubs of New Zealand, will be strictly ahhered to. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross amount of all stakes. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes. Persons desirous of being registered as gentlemen riders are referred to Rules 181 and 182, Rules of Racing. Definition of a Hack—A hack is a horse that has never won an advertised race at- any time, hack and hunter races excepted, and is not or has not been nominated in any race, other than hack or hunter races, at the same meeting.
