“QUIZ” WANTS TO KNOW.
Who started the “ tarra-diddle ” about there only being one straight out book on the Wellington Cup. I fancy the Press Association fell in badly when they wired that incorrect information away. There has been seven straight out books open on the Cup race since the weights were published, and they range from £SO to, it is said, £SOO. Anyway, an owner could have backed his horse to win him fully £IOOO, as I stated two .months ago.
Why does the Canterbury Jockey Club not give a trophy in connection with the New Zealand Cup ? A gold cup is the least that an owner should receive for winning that race.
