Messrs Sclanders and Co., of Nelson and Christchurch, are about to erect a handsome warehouse in Wanganui, from which it would appear that the prospects of trade on the west coast of this island are fairly good. Plans and specifications, as stated in our advertising columns, are to be seen at the offices of Messrs Philips and Pike, National Mutual Buildings, Five tenders have been received for the erection of a post-office at Pahiatua and fire tenders for the erection of a court-house at the same place. They came enclosed in eight envelopes *, hence* the previous information that eight tenders had been received.
