THE TWO THOUSAND GUINEAS.

[Special to Peess Association.] London, May 3. The following is the result of the TWO THOUSAND GUINEAS, of 100 sovs each, h ft., for three-year-olds ; colts 9st, fillies Bst 91b. Isinglass, who started a strong favourite, was unbeaten as a two-year-old. B.& made his first appearance in a Maideni Plate of 190 sovs, five furlongs, run at the Newmarket Second Spring Meeting. This he won, and was then reserved for Ascot. Here he won the New Stakes rather easily from Fealar, while Ravensbury finished third, with seven others The last appearance of Isinglass was in tbe Middlepark Plate, when he defeated Ravensbury and Le Nicham in the order named, while among the unplaced division were Eaeburn, Milford, Inferno, and Dame President, the last-named starting favourite.

Ravensbury started on five occasions last year, but only won the Great Lancashire Breeders' Produce Stakes, of 2630 sovs, in which he defeated nothing of note. However, some of his other performances were distinctly good, as, as already stated, he finished second to Isinglass in the Middlepark Plate. Raeburn, who is a full brother to that; good filly Semolina, and nearly full brother in blood to the mighty Donovan, started half a dozen times last year, and finished first on three occasions. His victories were the Stud Produce Stakes of 794 sovs at the Newmarket First July Meeting, the Ham Stakes of 550 sovs at Goodwood, and the Boscawen Stakes of 400 sovs at the Newmarket First October Meeting. He also finished second to Meddler in the Dewhurst Plate.
