THE TYPHOID OUTBREAK ON BOARD SHIP.

(PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Christchurch, February 22. The Lyttelton Borough Council to-day telegraphed to the Central Board of Health, who advise that the council as the local Board of Health had full power to deal with the ship Hinemoa. They, therefore, consulted Dr Guthrie, the Health Offioer, who with Dr Pairman visited the sailors, and declared the disease to be typhoid. The Borough Counoil has ordered the ship into mid stroam for 21 days, and telegraphed to the Colonial Secretary to support them in carrying out this order. Action will be taken to compel this to be done to-morrow
