(PRB3S ASSOCIATION.) Dunedin, February 19. J. G. Smith, when rolling a bale of wool off aj stack at Port Chalmers this morning was knocked down by another dumped bale, which fell on him and killed him. Margaret Bennett, aged 60, wife of a fruit grower at Coal Creek, hung herself this morning. She had suffered from nervousness. Sophie Jaoobs, five years old, fell off tho steps of the whatf at Dunedin on to a stone, reoeiving a oomponnd fraoture of the skull. Her recovery is doubtful. Feilping, February 21. This morning Mr G. M. Tayior, school* master at Colyton, dropped dead while at breakfast. Deceased was a married man. New Plymouth, February 21. The body of the lad Wood, who on Sunday morning was washed to sea from the beach at Omata while bathing, has not been recovered. He was a good swimmer, but got where a strong current oarried him to sea in the sight of his horrified companions, who were unable to render any assistance.
