MiHbank, of London, who arrived by the R.M.S, Mariposa, ia specially accredited by Lloyds’ to proceed to Timaru and investigate the oircumstances of the loss of the s.s. Elginshire. It is also his intention to see if it is nossible to float off the vessel. Should his efforts be successful, ho intends to have the steamer taken to Lyttelton dock to be repaired. Captain Millbank is a retired officer of the British Navy. He went South by tho Takapuna.
