ANSWERS TO CORRESPONDENTS. lota, Te Aro.—The best method of clean ing suede gloves is to put them on the hand-or on a glove stretcher, and rub them with milk and soap with a piece of soft, clean flannel until they are clean. If they are not left on the stretchers blow them into shape and leave them to dry. When dry, rub them till they are soft, and pull them into shape.

S.A.A., Greytown. —To prevent jelly from sticking to the earthenware moulds, you would not find any trouble if you were to simply wrap round the mould a cloth for a few moments which has been wrung out in hot water, then turn the mould upside down, and the jelly will slip out.

Inquirer, Napier.—Snow cake is made as follows:—11b of arrowroot, Alb of pnwdered white sugar, -Mb of butter, the whites of six eggs, flavouring to taste. Beat the butter to a cream, stir in the sugar and arrowroot gradually, at the same time beating the mixture, Whisk tho whites of the eggs to a stiff froth, add then to the other ingredients and beat for 20 minutes. Put in the flavouring, pour the cake into a battered cake tin, and bake in a moderate oven for an hour and a half.

M.S., Thorndon. — A bath is always injurious when taken immediately after a meal. A cup of tea and a little toast would not interfere with your morning bath if you cannot take it upon an empty stomach.
