THE RUMOURED AMALGAMATION OF STEAM COMPANIES.
(per press association). Dunedin, April 20. Mr James Mills, General Manager of the Union S.S. Co., says there is no foundation for the rumoured amalgamation. The report posßibiy originated in the fact that there. is a likelihood of some arrangement, being arrived at to terminate the cut-throat competition carried on along the Australian coast.
