(special to press association.) London, March 18. Mr Parnell addressed a meeting at Cork to-day attended by over 50,000 people, and was received with great enthusiasm. At a banquet held by those who have seceded from Mr Parnell’s leadership, Mr Justin McCarthy presided. Cardinal Manning wrote to the chairman expressing his agreement with the action taken by the Irish Bishops relative to affairs in Ireland. Deferring to Home Rule, Mr Gladstone, in his speech at Hastings, said his views on the subject had nob undergone any change. London, March 19. Mr Maurice Healey, M-P. for Cork City, has accepted Mr Parnell’s challenge, and they will both resign their seats for Cork City, and seek re-election for that electorate. London, March 20. The Parnellite press seeks to excuse the necessity of Mr Parnell resigning his seat for Cork by alleging that Mr Healy’s response is offensive. Mr Parnell is not likely to resign his seat for Cork, but the seceders are making preparations for a fight. London, March 22. The Irish campaign in Sligo is proceeding vigorously. Many Parnellite3 have been roughly handled. Mrs O’Shea is disinclined to marry Mr Parnell. London, March 23. Mr Parnell delivered an address at Drogheda, in which he passed over IMr Healy’s challenge to resign his seat without mention. The seceders from his side are taunting him with the omission. Mr Parnell, fearing defeat, refuses to accede to the request of his supporters at Cork to resign his seat and again contest the election. He states that he is willing to apply for the Chiltem Hundreds uhen Mr Maurice Healv appears before his constituents. London, March 24. The mob hooted Mr T. Healy in the streets of Cork. Mr Dalton, a strong Parnellite, followed Mr Healy into his bedroom in the Victoria Hotel and struck him a violent blow, breaking his spectacles into fragments, and injuring his left eye. His cheek was also seriously cut. Mr Maurice Healy, M.P. for Cork, will apply for the Chiltem Hundreds at the same time as Mr Parnell. The Tories intend to nominate a candidate when the resignations are in. Quebec, March 18. It is said that Montreal residents will support Mr Parnell to the backbone. New York, March 21. At the first meeting convened in this city by Mr Parnell’s delegates over 4000 dollars was collected in aid of the National League.
