OFFICERS CALLED TO DUTY. RELEASE OF THE CAPTURED STEAMER. A DENIAL. (per. press association.) Lisbon, March 18. All Portuguese officers on leave have been urgently summoned to return to their duty. Natal, March 18. The Portuguese authorities have released the steamer Countess of Carnarvon and crew. London, March 19. The South African Company deny that the steamer Countess of Carnarvon, which was seized by Portuguese authorities while ascending Limpopo river, had contraband goods on board.
