THE WAKAMARINA GORGE CLAIM.
(per press association.) Blenheim, March 16. A telegram received to-night from Mr Heiden, Manager of the Wakamarina Gorge claim, states that four days’ washing of the top dirt has produced about 3oz of gold, but that no bottom has yet been reached, although the men are 16ft down in the shingle. The slight rain of Sunday has not interfered with the working of the claim. Mr R. H. Seed, representing the Wellington shareholders, is at present inspecting the mine.
