THE HUTCHISON LIBEL CASE.
(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Hawera, November 26. Speaking at Normanby last nigb.t, Mr Hutchison said he had not authorised his agent to ask for a postponement of tha Whitaker-Hutchison trial till February, aud he did not believe his agent' had done so. The application of plaintiff was not merely to have the case set down for December 10, because he could have fixed that without reference to the Court, but to have a special jury in Wellington hearing the base a few days after the election. That would havo been unfair to him, fie had no objection to the case coming on, but merely io the special jury application,.
