PUBLIC LIBRARY HOURS.
(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Auckland, June 26. Some recommendations submitted by the Legal Committee of the City Council in regard to the management of the Public Library were submitted to the Council tonight. A.moDg other alterations proposed is that the recent curtailment of the hours be rescinded, and the old hours of the opening of the Library, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., be reverted to. The changes will leave £270 a year of the income from the Costley bequest to be apent in books. The subject was referred back to the committee.
