The Hinemoa baa a number of passengers on board during her trip to the Auckland, Campbell, and other islands, including Professor Kirk, Messrs Martin, F. R. Chapman, H. D. Bell, Russell, Travers, and others.Professor Kirk made a valuable collection of rare plants, and Mr Chapman found at Campbell Islands a beautiful new celemisie, unlike any hitherto described. On the rocks five miles from the ecene of the wreck of the Derry Castle, a camp stool and ship’s skylight were found. Both are believed to have belonged to that vessel. On the skylight at two different places were lashings, which showed that two men had been tied to it.
