(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Christchurch. January 10. A south-west gale has been blowing for the past few days and continues. At Lyttelton this morning it was almost a hurricane. The ship Falkland Hill, in the stream, dragged her anchor. The tug could not help, owing to the heavy wind and sea, bat by ' the latest accounts the vessel is holding cn, and no danger is anticipated. In some country districts heavy cropH have been damaged.
