The infant King of Spain is now suffering from a partial failure of the heart’s action, and is reported to be in a critical condition. It is feared that the infant King of Spain is dying. f Alfonso XIII., King of Spain, was born on the 17 th May, 1886. He has been delicate from hia birth.] Madrid, January 12. The King of Spain is improving. Madrid, January 13. The Infant King of Spain is now out of danger. London, January 14 All reports from Madrid about the King of Spain’s health and the state of affairs generally are said to be un reliable, as they submitted to strict censorship, revolution being feared. (special to press association.) Madbid, January 10. It is rumoured that the infant King of Spain is dead. Serious disturbances are feared in the event of the rumour proving to be true. Later. The infant King, of Spain is reported to be suffering from renewed attacks of syncope, though a later report says he afterward revived. His i’ever has subsided. currency yesterday to ths effect that King Alfonso was dead. The condition of Alfonso remains about the same, though the symptoms of cardiacal collapse are less frequent. The Princess Maria Mercedes, eidsst sister of King Alfonso, who was Queen of Spain in the interim between the death of the late King Alfonso XII. and the birth of the present King, will succeed to the throne in the event of the death of the infant King. The Princess Mercedes was born September 11th, 1880. The ex Queen Regent Maria Christina, mother of the present King, has been so overtaxed with nursing duties that she has several times fainted from exhaustion.
