LYTTELTON REGATTA.

(per press association.) Lyttelton, January 5. The remaining races left undecided from the Lyttelton Regatta on New Year’s Pay, when operations had to be discontinued 011 account of the south-west gale, were got off on Saturday, tho weather being then all that could be desired. The following are the winners of the chief events: —Senior Double Sculls—Kaiapoi, 1 ; Lyttelton, 2, Junior Sculls—Lyttelton, 1 and 2. Junior Fairs-—Lyttelton, 1 ; Kaiapoi, 2. Maiden Frirs—Avon. 1 ; Canterbury, 2. Single Sculls Sinclair (Ljttelton), 1; Fantham (Kaiapoi), 2. The Madge won tho Open Boats’ Race, the Secret the Fishing Boats, and the Hurnnui’s the Ships’ Boat Rowing Race The Lyttelton Club comes out best with winnings amounting to £42, Kaiapoi next with £36. These two Clubs, who won all the races exoept one, rowed in two boats bui t by G. Norton, of Wellington.
