FATALITIES.
(per press association.) Auckland, * August 29. A man named John Daley, a gumdigger, was found dead on the road at Towai, near Kawakawa. Dunedin, August 29. The dead body of a man found at Hindon is unidentified. It is supposed that hia horse collided with a fenoe, as the animal was found near the body. Dunedin, August 30. At tho inquest on Thos. McGoun, found dead near Hindon, on the Otago Central, it appeared from ths evidencethat the deceased, not observing that the new line of road was being surveyed off, had attempted to follow the old traok, and his-horse coming into oontact with a v\ire fence, the rider was thrown aud his neck broken. A verdict of accidentaldeath was returned. Thedeceased, who was 54 years of age, was a rabbit agent. He is believed to have been an officer in the Indian army, which he left CD account of i 11healtb. He has a wife and family at Middle Church. Auckland, September 1. The Maori boy Abrahams, who was burned at a fire at Kaimama on the 26th instant, died on Thursday. The man drowned at Awbitu on the 29th instant waa Thomas Warrington Wallis. He was a young mau of 22 years.
