The local Volunteers discussed the Exhibition meeting last night, and recommend that the meeting be held a week earlier, viz., on 6th January ; that in lieu of a trophy medals should be presented to the winning team, at the same time recommending that the Exhibition Commissioners should give a shield; and that any person winning £lO prize money should be debarred from entering for the match. An interim dividend of 2s 6d has been declared in the New Zealand Insurance Company. There is a general feeling of disappointment among the shareholders that they will not receive the same dividend as usual.
