THE UNEMPLOYED.
(per press association.). Dunedin, April 26. Tbe Minister of Lands authorised the chief surveyor to engage 30 of the unemployed to clear the bush roads at C&tlins, and the list was soon filled up.. The men were to have gone yesterday* huis only IS of the 30 turned up. Three others were engaged, making 2k, and they left for the works. Ten a/je to be put on piece work, tho Government finding tents and tools.
