WADESTOWN SCHOOL.
The prizes at this school were distributed on Saturday afternoon by Mr E. W. Gotch, Chairman of the School Committee. A picnic which had been arranged for the school children was abandoned, owing to the uncertain state of the weather, but a good round of sports in the school ground and paddocks adjoining and ample refreshments fully compensated for the disappointment. The following is the prize-list:— Standard VI.-—Alice Dormer, May Woodward, Jane Orr, Ronald Woodward ; Standard V. —Rebecca Orr, Edith Jones, Robert Moffatt, Henry Simmonds, Harry Cook ; Standard IV.— : Jessie Cook, Fred Hillas ; Standard lll.—Agnes Norliug, Alice Cook, Maud Gambrill, Osman Gambrill, Oyril Moms, -Vivian Clendon ; Standard 11.-—Helen M. Jones, Julia Gotch, Grace Lomas, James Hay,. John Orr, Leonard Cook ; Standard I. Sarah Mulligan, Winnie Morris, Ada Clark, George Hillas, Walter Gotch, James Lomas. Several prizes were also allotted to the infant division *, special prizes for needlework to Jessie Cook, Mary Moffatt, and Nellie Lcmas ; and for writing -to May Woodward and Robert Moffatt.
