AQUATICS.

The yacht handicap races, whioh it was intended to continue last Saturday, were postponed, as yacht owners were entering upon holiday arrangements, and were consequently unable to race. The next heats will be resumed to-morrow. NELSON REGATTA. (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Nelson, December 26. At the regatta the attendance was large. No serious accident occurred, but one open sailing boat, oarrying too muoh sail, capsized. Her crew were saved by the yacht Dorris and another boat. The Senior Four.oared lnrigged Race.— Star Club (Wellington), 1; Wellington Row* ing Club, 2 ; Wakatu, 3 ; Picton, 4 ; Nelson Club, 5. Blenheim did not start. It was a very good race. The Coasters’ race was won by the Nelson cutter Anateawhero, and the Yaoht race by the Republic. GRETf MQUTH REGATTA. Greymouth, December 26. For the regatta to-day the weather was splendid. Champion Scollers’ Race. —Goodall, 1; Price, 2 ; Sweetman, 3. Pair-Oar Race; boys under 16.—Tk% Sweetmans won after a good race against Rose and Foster, the third boat being nowhere.

Owing to no competitors arriving from ‘Westport and Hokitika the regatta was, comparatively uninteresting.
