In the match against All England, the fielding of the Australians was poor in comparison with that of the Englishmen. Turner took six wickets for 112, Woods two for 80, Ferris one for 73. Lohmann gave an excellent exhibition of cricket during the 55 minutes he was at the wickets. His score comprised ten boundary hits. In the second innings the Australians scored 100. The Englishmen won by an innings and 137 runs.
