AQUATICS.
A meeting of Hearn’s Management Committee was held at Hyland’s Hotel on Monday night, andthereport showed that subscriptions were coming in very freely. The names of Mr Geo. Ryland and Mr J. W. Kilner were added to the Committee. The Secretary reported that as a result of a letter he had written to the Rugby Union the final heat for the Junior Cup (between Melrose and Epuni teams) would be played directly after the conclusion of the costume match at Newtown ; that the Rugby Union had placed the management of the costume match in the hands of Mr J. W. Kilner ; and that the programme for Saturday next would be as follows :—3 p.m., costume match ; 3.30 p.m., final heat for Junior Cup, and a match between Wellington and Poneke Clubs’ first fifteens. After some discussion, the meeting was adjourned until Thursday (last) evening, when final arrangements were to be made.
