(special to united press association.) London, February 4. The Pacific Cable Company has not. yet been officially announced. Mr Harold Finch-Hatton has been appointed secretary. The provisional Directors are—The Earl of Milltown, Viscount Falkestone, Captain Palliser, Messrs Murray, Hatton, G. P. Slade, B. H. Want, Cook, J. Corry, and Jones. The Canadian Government will pay the expenses of Captain Moresby in the Alert’s survey of the route of the proposed Pacific cable from Vancouver to the Sandwich Islands. The other expenses will have to be borne by Great Biitain.
