The ss Stormbird left Wanganui at 7 pm on the Bth, and berthed alongside the Queen’s Wharf at 7 am yesterday. _ She experienced Strong north-west winds with westerly sea throughout the’pasmge. She returns to-day. The ss Murray left Nelson at 6pm on the ■Bth, and arrived here at 7am yesterday. She ■experienced a strong north-west gale and heavy sea throughout the passage. The ss Kennedy left New Plymouth at 6.30 pm on the Bth, and arrived here at 12.30 pm ;yesterday. She experienced a strong northwest wind and heavy sea throughout. The ss Kawatiri, which left here at 6 pm on Tuesday last for Westport, went aground at Rangifcoto, this side of Stephen Island, and was obliged to put back, arriving here early yesterday morning. She went on the Slip to undergo a general survey yesterday afternoon.
