DUNEDIN CHARITABLE AID BOARD.
(united press association.) Dunedin, December 6. At the annual meeting of the Charitable Aid Board the Chairman stated that the expenses had been well within the revenue, and that every case was, he believed, dealt with in which relief was deserved. The
female refuge had been well managed by the committee of ladies. A motion was carried that a committee inquire into the best means of separating the criminal classes from other inmates of the female refuge ; and it was decided that a deputation wait ou the Premier' and ask him to hand over the Immigration Barracks and Benevolent Institution. On© country member said an-idea was prevalent ;; that many of those whio received relief were' in a better position than many who contributed, and he moved for a return of those who * received relief, but afterward withdrew tho motion.
