POVERTY IN COURT.
(united press association.) Dunedin, December 6. An unusual point came up at the Resident Magistrate’s Court to-day iu a claim of £IOO, money lent. The plaintiff did not pay his Court fees, and stated that he had given all his money to his solicitor. The Magistrate said that the case could not go on till the fees were paid. The plaintiff’s solicitor urged that it was never intended to deprive anyone of justice because he was unable to-pay the fees, but the Magistrate said that section 127 was very explicit, and the case was not proceeded with.
