SERIOUS ACCIDENT.
(united press association.) Timaru, December 6.
A serious accident occurred this morning at Milford, at a quarter to 11, while a number of men were excavating at the side of the Milford Mill. A man named Cleridge was working under the pump, digging earth, when the earth gave way, the pump falling on bis head and splitting it cleau open. The man was speedily brought to Dr Hayes, where he was treated, and is progressing favorably.
