TELEGRAPH INSULATORS.

(united press association.) Christchurch, November 8. Sir Julius Yogel, writing on the subject of the telegraph insulators to Mr Adams, of the Sydenham Pottery, says he is willing to pay him and Mr W. M„ White, of Dunedin, la 6d each for 5000 insulators in every respect as good as the sample. The substances necessary for the manufacture may be imported, but the insulator, including the bolt portion, must be made in the Colony. If the insulators are found equal to the imported ones in all respects, then the Commissioner of Telegraphs undertakes to give them an order for 40,000 at Is 3d each. He does not advise them to accept the terms, but they are the best he can offer.
