A PLUCKY RESCUE.

(united press association.) Wanganui, November 3. On Monday night a sailor named John Carnegie, of the schooner Owake Belle, rescued a lad named T'ingey from drowning. The boy had fallen from the wharf, and was just sinking for the last time when attention was called to him, and Carnegie jumped overboard as he was, aud succeeded in getting hold of him. When ashore the boy was soon restored.
