PAYABLE GOLDFIELD NEAR OAMARU.
(UNITED PBESS ASSOCIATION.) Oamaeu, July 27.
Is is stated that gold in payable quantities has been found near Hampden, about 25 miles south of Oamaru, on Mr Kitchener’s run. Men have been prospecting in the locality for some time. Steps are being taken to have the locality declared a goldfield.
