Melbourne, July 21
In his Financial Statement last night, the Treasurer showed that the net income from railways was L 615,000, which returns 4’2 per cent, on capital. The Hobson’s Bay Railway is returning 7% per cent. §The Treasurer stated the Post Office was showing an annual loss of L 109,000.
