THE GOVERNMENT LIFE INSURANCE ASSOCIATION.
(united press association.) Christchurch, June 7. At a meeting of policyholders in the Government Life Assurance Association held this evening, and attended by about 70, it was resolved that the Government be requested to bring in a Bill to constitute in connection with the Life Assurance Association a board of six members, all of them to be policyholders ; three t > be nominated and three elected, and the Board to appoint its own chairman. Dunedin, June 8. At a meeting of policyholders in the Government Life Insurance to hear Mr Fisher's views. A motion favoring his scheme for future management was carried by an overwhelming majority against that of handing back the management to Government. A motion was also carried favoring the establishment of local boards, and suggesting that Government should embody a clause to that effect in the Bill.
