RICH FIND OF GOLD.
(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Thames, June 3. A few weeks ago a new discovery of gold was made at Waiomio, situated about tea miles from Thames. Splendid loose prospects of gold were obtained, and in consequence a number of claims in the vicinity were pegged out. The prospectors in a day or two had a parcel of 2-? r ions of general dirt and about 2001 b of picked stuff packed to th-i Thames for treatment by one of the batteries. The crushing was finished to-day for the rich return of IGOoz of retorted gold, which is valued at about £3 5a per ounce.
