THIEVES IN THE PREMIER’S HOUSE.
(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Dunedin, October 28. A number of larrikins, taking advantage of the Hon. R. Stout’s absence from Dunedin, broke into his house about a quarter past 4 yesterday, and stole therefrom a large number of articles. The police Boon got wind of the robbery, and recovered most of the goods before they were removed from the ground. The names of the culprits are aLo known. Later. • The paragraph re burglary in the Hon. R. Stout’s house was exaggerated. Two youngsters got into the washhouse and stole some starch.
