LARGE AUCKLAND TOTALS Since the coming; into operation of the Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sates Act on October 18, 1943, 17,304 applications for the approval of deals in property had been received by the three Auckland committees up to the end of last month, according to figures supplied vesterday by the deputy-regis-trar of the Land Sales Court, Mr 0. H. Burns. Of the total, 6304 cases concerned the Auckland Urban Land Sales Committee, 6255 the North Auckland Committee, and 4745 the South Auckland Committee. The number of applications received by the registrar is snowing a steady increase each month. Last month's total of 1493 was a recorded, being 131 more than the previous record established in February. Mr Burns said yesterday that the the number of applications affecting the Auckland Province was more than a third of the total for the whole of New Zealand. All three committees are now functioning on the fourth floor of the Dilworth Building, Queen Street, which is also the location of the offices of the War Assets "Realisation Board.
