SYLVIA MINE OPERATIONS Reviewing operations of tho Sylvia Mines Consolidated Co. at the annual meeting the chairman, Mr L N. Jacka, said that work had proceeded without interruption as planned and the company's needs in the way of men and material had been fairly met. At no time since the inception of the company had there been any shortage of funds for mining operations. Water draining from the reef area was being easily handled and it appeared that the stored-up water had been reduced to slight proportions. As ore accumulated from the reef and from Ihe leader cut in the No. 6 level (-.rushing* would be made in Thames and it would be possible to handle appreciable quantities pending the installation of the company's j own treatment plant. The company's finances, he said, were in a thoroughly healthy condi- j tion and the directors looked forward to the : future of Ihe. mine with confidence. '
