BKIDE FROM ENGLAND ALLUM— BLOWER • The marriage of Miss Betty Barbara Blower, <snly daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Blower, of Sheffield, England, to Bombardier Robert W. Allum (returned from the Middle East), only son. of the Mayor and Mayoress of Auckland, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. C. Allum, of Curran Street took place on Saturday afternoon 'at St. Stephen's Presbyterian Church, Ponsonby. The Rev. W. R. Milne officiated. The bride, who was given away by Mr. Allum, wore a charming trained frock of white cloque, made with a square neckline, puffed sleeves and full skirt. Ber long net veil was caught with a coronet of orange blossom, and she carried a bouquet of white roses and chrysanthemums. The matron of honour, Mrs. Peter Dow, wore powder blue chiffon over cyclamen taffeta and a coronet of flowers to match her bouquet of cyclamen, pink roses, carnations and chrysanthemums. The best man was Signalman H. R. Hutcheson, also returned from the Middle East. The reception after the ceremony was held at the home of the bridegroom's parents.
