ELEVEN INJURED
TRUCK OVERTURNS ACCIDENT AT TE PAPAPA Eleven occupants of a heavy army truck were taken to the Auckland Hospital early last evening suffering from injuries received when the vehicle capsized at the intersection of Mays Road and Captain Springs Road, To Papapa. The men were from a camp at Avondale and it is understood that they were being taken to f ca ™ p after working at the est field freeing works. The truck skidded on the newlv-surfaced road. Of* the 11 men taken to the casualty department three were admitted to hospital. They, were: —Rima Maihi, aged 19 son of Mr. T. Maihi, 3 Baker Street, City; Mr. Jack Niheta, aged 21, freezing worker; and Mr. Joseph Roileston, M. Roileston, of Matata. They were all suffering from concussion and none of them, is in a serious condition.. The other men were treated for minor injuries and discharged. The truck, which was fitted with a canvas hood, was extensively damaged. Three St. John ambulances and three army ambulances attended the accident.
