CHRISTCHURCH, Sunday The Grand National Hurdles at Riccart-on yesterday was won impressively by the topand favourite, Town Survey, who thus completed the unique feat of winning the Great Northern Hurdles at Ellerslie, the Winter Hurdles at Trentham and the Grand National Hurdles in the one year. In the three races Town Survey won £2775 in •takes. Gay Hussar and Blark Musk led to the «'and hurdie the first time, when Gay Hussar fell and Khurja went over him. Later Black Musk was joined by Hasten and they carried on the running from Heidelberg, Town Survey, Renascor, Talenta, Nightcalm and Treasurer. Talenta was pulled up at the sixfurlong post owing to shoulder trouble, and °ifh Blood, running in Ihe rear, was also Pulled up. Town Survey moved up to the .leaders turning for home and had a slight advantage over the last fence. Hasten immediately challenged and at one stage looked likely to get up, but Town Survey was too Mod. Young Charles rame with a late run from a long way back to gain third only s head from Hasten, and Good Health battled for fourth.
