AUCKLAND WOOL
APPRAISAL NEXT WEEK RAIL RESTRICTIONS LIFTED The sixth Auckland wool appraisal is scheduled to commence next Wednesday, when the Auckland Wool brokers' Association expects to offer from 15,000 to 16,000 bales. This represents the larger proportion of the wool in store, and the balance will be offered at the final appraisal on May 18. The association advises that restrictions on the carriage of wool by rail have now been lifted, and stationmasters have been instructed by the railway transport branch at Auckland to accept all wool offering for consignment to the Auckland stores.
