STEWARDS' INQUIRIES Following the running of the Avondale Cup at Ellerslie on Saturday the judicial committee of the Avondale Jockey Club held an inquiry into the running of Centrepoise. After hearing evidence from the owner and trainer the committee decided that there had been no breach of the rules, but censured the jockey, G. Cameron, for not riding to instructions. .... ~ ,~• An inquirv was also held into the falling of Mountain Fox in the Avondale Cup. Tt was found to be accidental. The falling of Snake Gully in the first division of the Trial Plate was also found to he accidental. Snake Gully broke a hind leg and was destroyed.
